just some recent pics of us!

Not a whole lot to blog about so I thought I would share some pics. We had a beautiful tuesday last week and we were finally able to soak up the sunshine on the deck. Ellie and Jayce loved it. I had been wanting to get some good pics and the sunlight it what I needed. here are a few pics

this one was actually taken a few weeks ago. she is wearing daddy's new hat and loved it!

I love this one. Her hair looks so long and super thick. and no we did not cut her hair the shorter hair is just new hair. I am too scared to cut it!

When I pointed out a water tower on a drive Ellie shouts out "A Watermelon tower!"

Ellie said to Jess "Hey Dad Hadley and you dont have any hair yet." Love that little girl :)

Ellie: Mom daddy is silly he said these were Maddie's boobs (pointing on the belly of our dog Maddie)

Me: They are her boobs Elle

Ellie: Well then your both silly!

Funny thing is Jess swears he never talked to her about it!

While listening to the radio in the car the song that sing Everything gets hotter when the sun goes down was playing and Ellie must have been paying attention. As I unbuckled her she told me you know mom when the sun goes down it gets hotter and hotter out. I said no it doesnt. She said yes it does the guy on the radio said so!

Ellie: Mom do you know why tigers have stripes?

Me: because that is the way God made them.

Ellie: nope. They have stripes to hide in the tall grass. that is why zebras have stripes too.

Seriously she can stop with the facts. She is now probably smarter than me!

I told Ellie to come get her leotard on. She gives me a funny look and says leotard? is that a country in Africa? No idea where that one came from!

Ellie came up to me and told me she was getting married. I asked her who she was marrying, and her response "Jesus". I love that kid!

Ellie at the Tiger semi final game started screaming we won! we won!! In reality we jsut scored a touchdown. :) (we eventually did win though)

Ellie asked me what is under our skin. I said what do you think? Her answer, TIGER STRIPES! She is a true Madrid Tiger

"Best Ellieism to date. For weeks she has been wanting to buy Maddie beggin strips at the store. We finally remembered today and asked if she could give her one. I give it to ellie and get Maddie to sit. Ellie gives her the treat. As Maddie is eating Ellie turns to me and says "Mom why didnt she say bacon?" I now know why she has been wanting to buy them. she thought that was the key to getting the dog to talk!"

"Ellie just informed me that the reason I yell at her is because I need to take a nap. Lol."

"Love hearing ellie tell Hadley stories about jesus. Favorite line so far... Hadley, jesus is the body of christ. He is my hero. Too cute"

"I would like to thank sprout for inspiring ellies hoarding of things that are trash. She ALWAYS wants to keep cups straws boxes, etc. And today I drew the line.
Ellie-"im keeping this m&m wrapper. Me- no ellie it is TRASH! ellie- its not trash if you can make something new with it! Me- and what are you going to make? Ellie- whatever I want! And folks you will see her on hoarders in 20 years amongst all her projects."

Ellie just opened the door to 2 Jehovah witnesses. I was upstairs so she came to get me. I went and told them I didn't speak Spanish(they asked) . I told ellie she is not allowed to answer the door without asking first then ran upstairs looked in the mirror and busted out laughing! I forgot ellie put a HUGE FLOWER in my hair. No wonder they were smiling. Lol crazy woman in her pjs with a huge flower in her hair. Sadly this is the 2nd time ive been caught with a pretty in my hair."

Ellieism for today. On the way to get jess a family carrying their tree decided to cross the busy road not on the crosswalk causing me to slam on the breaks so they didn't get hit, ellie yells out the window "merry christmas!"
